Facebook Advertising Tips & Resources
Posted on 03. Mar, 2009 by Logan in Affiliate Tips
Lately I’ve been doing quite a bit of advertising with Facebook, along with my usual PPC stuff from Google and Yahoo (one of these days I will start with MSN). I’ve learned quite a bit in the past couple of months about Facebook advertising and it has been a huge factor in helping me earn a steady income this past month.
If you are like me, I’m sure before you jump into a new advertising space, you do a search around the net and see what other people have to say about advertising with that particular site. Searching for info on Facebook advertising will bring you tons of opinions from all points of views. Some people are extremly succesful with it, while others fail and think that Facebook is the devil. While it is good to do your research, the best way to learn if it will work for you is to jump in and try it.
Facebook advertising does have a learning curve, and it is worth it to get some advice on how best to create your ads to be successful. I wanted to give you a few good blog posts and sites that offer some useful ideas to help you be succesful when starting out. Take each post with a grain of salt as some of them offer conflicting advice, but it is a good way to get your brain in gear.

With the new layout of Facebook, does this change the way you do things with them? Do you need to make your ads differently and so on?

Nope. The layout change of Facebook only changed the home page, which doesn’t have advertising on it. The Facebook ad network shows ads primarily on profile pages. They did however open it up a few weeks ago to start showing ads on more pages as well. http://www.facebook.com/ads/manage/#/note.php?note_id=66947355129&id=34170993416&index=2
