Reading My Blog On Your iPhone Is Easy

Last week I did something I thought I’d never do. You guessed it, I actually bought an Apple product when I upgraded my phone to the new iPhone 3Gs. What surprised me more is just how much more I love it than my Blackberry Curve. I’ve never been into Apple all that much, but I’ve had such a great experience so far.

iphonelogan Probably the best part about the iPhone for me is the amazing web browsing capabilities. I’m constantly browsing different sites on the go and now I have the capability to pause PPC campaigns when I’m not by my computer. I love it! On top of that the apps store is pretty amazing and making my life easier.

The other day I took a look at my blog on my phone and realized I should add the capability for a mobile friendly theme. I installed 2 plugins so now you can view LRThompson.com on your iPhone or other mobile device.

The two plugins I used are the following:

  1. WordPress Mobile Edition
This should show up if you check out this site from most mobile phones other than the iPhone.
  2. WPTouch iPhone Theme
This is what shows up when viewing the site from an iPhone. I like the look of this a lot and it is just darn cool.

Check it out, go to your phone and take a look and let me know what you think. There is no special link, just go to loganthompson.me on your phone and the beauty of WordPress will do the test.

You’re definitely giving me phone envy. I still have a 3 year old flip phone. Can’t justify a smart phone because I never leave the house. I need to get out more.

Logan

Yes, you do need to get out of the house. With the iPhone, you can go anywhere and feel like you never left. :-)

OK, I did finally get a Samsung with a touch screen and internet access. I can log in and check my stats from anywhere and that makes me happy. Got it a few months ago.
Truth is that my old phone died of old age, otherwise I still wouldn’t have replaced it.

Sweet! Looks great on my G-Phone :-)

Logan

Cool. Good to know.
