One of the biggest things I learned from attending Affiliate Summit East this year is that I suck. Well, not really, but my branding does. What’s sad is that I know better, yet I still make mistakes as to how I’m branding myself and my business. Hopefully you are thinking about your own business, its identity and how it reflects you so you can avoid some of the mistakes I’ve made.

Affiliate Summit East: Tuesday Recap

The final day of Affiliate Summit East was pretty relaxing after having the 2 previous days crammed full. In the morning I went to the keynote speech by Peter Shankman of The Geek Factory. He totally blew it out of the water. This guy is exciting to listen to and very smart. If you missed it, you can check the entire keynote out at his website.

Affiliate Summit East: Monday Recap

Day 2 of Affiliate Summit east started off with a keynote speech from Chris Brogan and co-author of his book, Trust Agents, Julien Smith. In a nutshell, they talked about how you need to build trust on the web. Honestly, I didn’t take away all that match from the talk, although they both seem like cool guys. Maybe I was just tired from the night before, but it seemed a little bit choppy and rushed. I’d still be interested in reading their book as I’m sure it would be easier to understand with more in depth discussions.

Sunday was the first day off Affiliate Summit East, and if I were to describe it in 1 word it would be overwhelming. Down in the meet market I felt like I was in the New York Stock Exchange with so many people and stuff going on. Although it was a little on the exhausting side, it was a great day.

In just a few days I’ll be flying to New York to attend Affiliate Summit East 2009, which will actually be my first Affiliate Summit. My schedule is getting pretty full and it should be a good time. I have a press pass so I will be in the bloggers lounge at times writing up new posts for those of you who couldn’t make it.
